Thank you for referring to our centre.  PLEASE NOTE we may not accept unaddressed/generic referrals therefore,  please ensure your referrals are addressed to a particular consultant – The list below outlines their sub-speciality interests.

Referrals to our Fracture Clinic

Our Fracture Clinic will accept referrals for the following conditions (can only be seen post 7 days of injury):

• Fractures
• Suspected fracture (if not shown on x-ray but mechanism of injury suspicious of undiagnosed fracture)
• Severe sprains/ severe soft tissue injuries
• Foreign Body
• Acute tendon rupture / tears (Achilles); other acute injuries – NO LONG TERM tendon injuries
• Crush injuries
• Patients that have had surgery elsewhere and are from our area needing fracture management / follow up.
• Finger / tendon injury eg. mallet finger

Referrals for other injury types

These referrals should be addressed and sent to one of our Orthopaedic Consultants (any generic referrals may be returned) – these include the following conditions:

• Long term chronic injuries / arthritic changes
• Non specific injuries of a chronic nature
• Knee effusion / knee joint injuries of a long term nature
• Non specific back pain
• Ganglion
• Shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand surgery
